I have created several ghasts and ghouls, so it was about time to have some characters or NPC heros that will slash them out. So without further ado… meet Larissa Gra`x – the Commander of the Raven Guard. And as the name suggests she will be leading a band of guards who will fight the evil monsters. However, if you do not like her title or position, you can use her as a standard female fighter in the Dungeons and Dragons world or as a champion in the Warhammer universe!

The first notable feature of this 3D printable minifigure is the face of the model.
Since she is a seasoned fighter and have vast experience in battle and leading troops, she is quite excellent commander that can deal with almost anything and against almost any odds and that is why her face is modelled in a calm fashion style. The eyelids are closed a little bit to demonstrate superiority and vast experience. Also I have added a single battle scar on her left eye. After all all these years fighting should have reflect somehow on the commander, shouldn`t they?
And if you take a close look at Larissa`s face, you can see the fine half-smile which suggests that in the upcoming fight she is confident and know exactly how it will goβ¦ in her favours of course π

The next notable things about this 3D model are the detailed armour and weapons.
For starters the commander possesses and uses with a deadly precision a short sword and a long sword. The first one is used for defence, as well as for offence and it is well balanced and decorated that fits her fighting style.

The next weapon is the long sword. Although it might looks odd to have it in the left hand, I have tell you that Larissa is a left-handed warrior π
But let us focus on the weapon.
The long sword is a very powerful slashing machine in the hands of the commander. The overall design is almost identical to the one of the short sword, but it bears the insignia of the Raven Guard. So it is themed to Larissa’s title.

When the swords are not put to use, they rest in sheaths placed on the back of the minifigure. However, in the current pose, they are unsheathed and ready to slash the enemies of the commander.

And if you think that this is the only armament of the model, you are wrong! Larissa has two daggers that are positioned on her waist for easy access and throwing. This means that she has not only close combat capabilities, but have range attack as well.

The next notable feature of the 3D printable minifigure is the armour. Initially I wanted to put the commander into full plate armour, but due to her fighting style and spirit, I decided to remove some of the plates and make it⦠let`s say a half-plate?!
The chest of the commander is protected front and back with a plate armour. Covering almost all parts of the body, but shows some of her forms π

Also there is an intricate collar that serves as a neck guard, but also binds front and back plates of the chest armour. And of course this collar bears the Raven Guard insignia to symbolize her participation in the unit.

And since her right hand has a short sword used for defence, I decided to put one big and noticeable shoulder guard on the left side, so that the attacking hand with the long sword to be protected as well.

Each hand has it own protective gear – a bracelet that is tied to the writs. And although it looks heavy, at the same time it is quite flexible and allows even the most complex feints and manoeuvres.

The legs are protected by heavy plate leggings starting from the waist and going to the toes, but they are still flexible to allow excellent movement.

And to make things a little big lighter, I have put leather pants instead of scale or chain mail under the leggings. And these pants have even stitches on each side of them!

And finally is the cloak. In my model it is not a full one, as some of you might expect. In fact it is a small cloak and a little short, but it is firmly attached to the shoulder guard of the armour and does its trick. Usually just to make the minifigure looks cool π But in theory it is quite possible to be used to wrap enemy`s arm and disarm him or lead him to a different position π

And this is pretty much about the 3D printable minifigure of Larissa Gra`x – Commander of the Raven Guard. Or not?
