And after a long silence, today I got my next model ready! It is a unique charging Ghast / Ghoul 3D printable model! It looks like the old hungry Ghast / Ghoul, but now it is in a threatening new pose and much more details and goodies on it. For sure it will refresh anyone’s undead army in Warhammer universe or will bring up some new vision on the battlefield of Dungeons and Dragons ( D&D / DnD).
Plus you will get three brand new and unique for this and other models graveyard themed bases!
The brutal face is still here 🙂
The scary and fearsome face of the Ghast or if you prefer – a ghoul, is still the same. Except that the tongue is moved on the other side of the monster. However, this is not the main “attraction” of the brand new 3D printable model! It has other features to behold!
The first important modification is the belt with many items that are expected to be carried and probably used by the creature.
For sure the first things that you will notice about the belt are the bones (from an unlucky prey) and the golden buckle. The bones are carefully tied to the belt, but can be used immediately as weapons to inflict bludgeoning damage. The golden buckle is there just for fancy, but really stands out 🙂
The two bones are well attached but ready to be used as lethal weapons!
Next comes the vampire skull. It is carefully impaled with two bolts and a simple rope is tied to them. This trophy is attached to the belt and shows that the charging Ghast / Ghoul is a monster to be careful with.
The unlucky vampire skull is a valuable trophy for this monster!
The next noticeable item on the belt is the pouch. It is the same one used in my Hammer Dwarf 3D printable model, but here the item really stands out and if painted in contrast of the other colours will make the minifigure more lively.
I wonder what might be inside a pouch carried by this wretched creature?
Since the Ghast / Ghoul does not have to look naked, I put some rugs on it. Some of the torn garments are taken from the core model, but the others are specially created for this iconic minifigure to simulate movement of the charge!
Due to the fact that this 3D printable model is themed to an upcoming short adventure, that is why I have created two versions of the minifigure.
The first version is the one that will take role in the upcoming adventure and it includes chains and a shackle around the neck.
The chains make the model look tortured… don`t they?
The second version is dedicated to those of you that do not like the chain, but the shackles around the wrist and the ankle are still included 🙂
Both versions are included into the FREE for personal use STL files. See bellow!
And here come the new specially created for this model exclusive bases!
I have created three new bases for my previous model (the Hungry Ghast / Ghoul), so decided to update this 3d printable iconic mini as well and make the same number bases, but unique and totally different from the previous one. So today I will show you the new addition to this charging monster!
1. Let us start with the first one – the tip of the iceberg – the Lamp post!
This time the lamp post is not some stone bricks and slabs to make a pillar for the light, but I have used wood, metal and chains! The idea was to create some chaotic atmosphere with this base and to fit in perfectly to the spirit of the charging Ghast. That is why the main body of the post was tilted to one side and curved a bit to simulate an old and twisted wood with sharp edge, just like waiting to impale someone 🙂 Also I have added some metal brackets and bolts to underline the uncivilized monster which is charging for its victim!
Also I have made one simple lantern that is tied to wood body of the post via metal chains. If it was a real they would crack wildly when the beast charges! But in my case, I have curved them in a way to simulate the erratic movement of the incoming flesh hungry Ghast. OR if they were blown by a strong wind 🙂
2. The second base is the traditional graveyard themed one that can be much expected – the tombstone one!
This time I have bet on higher tombstone slate and other type of metal fence.
The tombstone has two sides and each one is different to some extend to the other which gives more details and diversity to the landscape of the base. Hope you like the vampire skull put on the tombstone 🙂
The next notable part of this graveyard themed base is the metal fence.
Yes, every cemetery has its own fence. Some stone, some metal. And for sure each fence has its own style. So I decided to create a brand new fence for this base. Here you will not see spikes that resemble the Stormcast Eternals insignia from Age of Sigmar, but it will be more traditional harpoon style accompanied by a metal pillar that usually is stuck in the ground and ends or reinforce the fence.
3. And finally the last base. As expected from the previous update of the Hungry Ghast / Ghoul model, here I have included one simple pavement base. This time it is not with many small stones, but several big and noticeable slabs.
Again the idea behind this graveyard themed base is to simulate the pathways in the cemetery, as well as some back alleys or streets in a city (in case the action goes to the city)!
And that is pretty much about the new UPDATE. Keep in mind that all the above new bases are included in the main archive file of the Charging Ghast / Ghoul, which can be accessed via the link bellow!
