And while I am still on demon theme, I decided to make my next abyssal brute. This time my imagination was focused on a gorilla-like monster so I fold up my sleeves and start digging Internet for inspiration and reference. Soon I got the overall design of this Iconic Mini and start working for turning the draw board into real 3D printable figure.
So the final result was indeed a savage-looking gorilla-type demon that is quite suitable to substitute other miniatures from table-top games – like the Barlgura from the Dungeons and Dragons or the Scyla Anfingrimm form the Warhammer Universe.

Since this monster is a gorilla-like creature I decided to make the stance of a mix between running and preparing to pummel down its foes with its right fist. But since it can run on all fours I put one of the hands to touch the ground and one of the legs in mid air to simulate the forward movement of the beast! Just seconds before crushing its opponents.

The face of this demon is the classic savage one – wide opened mouth full with razor-sharp teeth. Plus angry expression on it, burning with hatred eyes and big twisted demonic horns which work as eyebrows. Also I have added some additional elements to make the vials more appealing. This is the metal chain that is piercing its lips. Here the idea was to align all attributes of the minifigure with the overall design so no wonder that there are other such small or big additional elements – like rings, bracelets and so.

The next thing is the body. It is of a gorilla-like (which in fact is a humanoid torso) with big hands and forearms, muscle all over the body and two not so big legs. But nevertheless they all looks strong and powerful. Which by the way is the monster itself.
And since this 3D model must represents an ape, I decided to put fur on it, but not on all the body. The idea here was just to underline the fur with a different colour which will contrast to the main colour of the body, but at the same time to leave more of the body clear so that you can see all the muscle of the monster!
And since this gorilla-like model has demonic essence, I decided to put some spikes over the body – just to underline its origin. And I see that all looks quite nice!

But having only a savage creature does not mean that it will be naked – I mean to be only fur and skin. I decided to add more elements and details to this 3D printable figure. So this Iconic Mini has bracelets, rings and one notable element over the waist – a leather belt. Here the idea was to cover the sensitive parts of the demon, but at the same time to make it look awesome! So this leather belt has many strips covered with metal balls and rhombi. Plus some metal arrow-endings. And all of them are positioned to simulate the movement of the gorilla-type brute.

As stated above the hands of this monster are enormous. Just like a gorilla. But some of the jewelleries and the bracelet shows that this savage thing is not so primal since it wears such items on it. On the other hand they all shows more details and realism to the figure and ?I really like how all turned out.
I will not stop on the legs, since they look like send pair of hands and are similar to some extend to the hands.

And finally comes the base. This time I used the standard large dirt base which is opened for any customization from you so be creative! Add skulls, stones, dead bodies and so on 🙂
And this is pretty much about this Iconic Mini!
