Having few flying demons (like the Vulture Demon, the Gnaw Demon and the Shadow Demon) plus some low level skirmishers (the Manes and the Dretch) I decided to make some more powerful monsters – sergeants to command the lesser units and to be under the management of the stronger one (the six arms demon general). So this time I present you with my latest FREE 3D printable model – the Stench demon. This type of monster has its own name in different worlds and systems, so there will be no surprise to see similar creatures under the name of Hezrou, Frog Demon, Stink Demon or even under the strange title of a Croaking Demon. Nevertheless this Iconic Mini is suitable for any of the table-top games available on the market – which includes the Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Frostgrave, Warhammer and etc. Plus as promised in my previous post – this miniature is also modular – two different options for the hands!
But first let us start with the demon itself. In general this monster is a combination of a brute human with a frog with some draconic / demonic features. That is why the Stench Demon looks like low neck hybrid with bulky and muscular body covered all over with spikes in different shape and size, tough skin, wide frog-like mouth full of nasty razor sharp teeth ready to grind you, small evil eyes full with hatred, long hands with big forearms and feral claws and other such notorious characteristics.

The pose of this incredibly strong and powerful sergeant in the Demon army is something that is expected from this type of monster. Lean forward posture with right hand up and ready to strike (bare hand or with a whip). Plus left hand twisted in front of the model to show that it has finished its attack with it or clutching a chain with shackles (depending on the option you have selected for the hands).

The face of this monstrosity is the classic demonic one. Evil smile with its big frog-like mouth, many razor sharp teeth that are capable of chewing you alive, low eyebrows to simulate fixed angry stare and wide nostrils for more aggressive visual. Plus a small and curved tongue covered with warts.

The next thing is the body. As stated above it is the classic bulky brute body – a muscle mass covered with spikes and many small warts and bumps. They can be accepted both as making the skin tougher and having some organs or parts of the body that can secrete the stink due to which this monster is called the Stench Demon! Also the torso has two pigments to separate upper and bottom part of the creature and probably giving hints that the lighter coloured part is more easy to damage.

The legs are also made in unison with the main torso – bulky and with many muscle. Most part of them are with the dark colour, but there are some little areas with the lighter colour. But nevertheless the legs look quite demonic and suits to the overall design of the monster. So no wonder that there are again warts and bumps, some spikes and powerful claws, plus some rough looking skin patches.

And speaking about the parts of the body this Stench Demon has its hands modular. The arms look little different from standard humanoid ones, since they are smaller at the biceps area, but larger at the forearms and the palms. And of course have sharp claws at the tips of the fingers. That is why they look more brutish than usual. And since this is a sergeant unit it has two different options for each hand. The first version is the standard combat unit arms. They have no weapons, but fingers are spread to simulate claw slashing attacks. The right hand is up and ready to strike, while the left one is twisted in front of the body showing that it has finished its attack.

The second option is little bit different. Since this is a sergeant unit it can be either a fighter or a commander of lesser demons. So in order to keep them in line, I have prepared the second version of the hands and this time they have whip and chains – to remind the lesser that they are lesser and that they will be punished if they do not obey! So the second right hand of the Stench Demon is up again, but this time has one big and nasty three-headed whip. The left arm has one chain with shackles. Just to remind the lesser demons the torture of disobedience.

And finally the base. This time I used the standard dirt base which has no special characteristics, but allows customization in any way you like – adding skulls, fallen enemies, rocks, even grass 🙂 You have seen this base in other models, so I will not stop specifically on it.
And this is pretty much about this demon!
